A scope considered within the whole project.

Waterproofing is a system of surfaces, falls, penetrations and junctions. A visible leak may not identify the point where water entered. We review roofing and waterproofing requests in the context of the existing construction, intended use and the areas that need further investigation, rather than assuming one product will solve every condition.

What can the scope include?

  • Roof or affected-area condition review
  • Substrate preparation and repair scope
  • Specified waterproofing and junction details
  • Drainage and covering interfaces

Before the work begins.

The proposed method depends on the substrate, moisture conditions, movement, drainage and exposure. Access arrangements and weather constraints also affect delivery. Product and workmanship responsibilities, testing where applicable and exclusions should be clearly described in the written proposal.

Can a leak be priced from photographs alone?

Photographs help start the conversation, but the source and extent of water ingress may require an inspection. A meaningful quotation identifies the area, preparation, system and relevant junctions to be treated.
